HADITH OF THE DAY

The authentic tradition reported by Shaykh al-Kulayni, may Allah bless him… Abu Abdillah al-Sadiq (a.s.), who said the following in the course of mentioning the Imams… ‘Thus Allah continued to choose them (the Imams) for His creatures from the progeny of al-Husain (a.s.) from the offspring of every Imam. Whenever an  Imam would pass away from among them, He (Allah) would appoint for His creatures an Imam, and a guiding authority from his (i.e. the previous Imam’s) offspring…’

Killer:- Shimr (Shimar) Lanatullah Alaihim Ajmaeen on the orders of Yazeed ibne Muawiya ibne Abu Sufyan Lanat ullah on them all.

Wife/Wives:- Bibi Umm e Rabab, Bibi Umm e Laila, Umm Is'h?q bint Talha, Bibi Shehrbano

Sons/Daughters:- Imam Ali Zainal Abideen, Ali al Akbar, Ali al Asghar, Fatima al Kubra, Fatima al Sughra, Sakina binte Hussain 

Successor:- Imam Zainal Abideen (as)

Designation:- 4th Imam

Titles:- Syedush Shohda (Leader of the martyrs), Aba'abdillah (Father of all servants of God), *ash-Shah?d (Arabic for The Martyr), as-Sibt (Arabic for The Grandson), Sayyidush Shab?bi Ahlil Jannah (Arabic for Leader of the Youth of Paradise), ar-Rash?d (Arabic for The Rightly Guided).
